The problem with politics today can be understood by a look into the dealings of Jon Sonju, a Republican incumbent legislator from Kalispell’s House District 7. Sonju is a fraud for attempting to use the federal treasury as a personal checking account through federal government contracts for the family business, while accusing everyone else of wasting our hard-earned taxpayer dollars.
We saw Rep. Sonju vote against recovery dollars for Montana. We saw him vote against health insurance funding for kids, but when it comes to personal pork…….the federal ask is on.
Jon Sonju’s rhetoric:
“I would look into vacancy savings in the different departments of state government. The legislature needs to look into consolidating state jobs and reviewing the state pay plan. The growth of government needs better control. There needs to be the political will to say NO on new spending.” -Rep. Sonju
“Everyone is cutting back” and government needs to do the same. Sonju said. “That’s going to be the reality … there are some pretty good programs out there that may or may not get funded.”

In the search for federal dollars for Sonju’s family business, his philosopy appears to be “leave no stone unturned.” See here the $8 million appropriation request from Rehberg. Sonju faces Democratic candidate Mary Reckin in the race for the Senate seat formerly held by Greg Barkus.
If you guys are against him, I am for him. I see name calling is as alive and well in Montana as in the government controlled, Islamic backed liberal media.
